After weeks of nothing but work, and gym before work – 25 days in a row – today finally gave me a chance to breathe.
The afternoon sun was shining, warm but gentle, the kind of late-summer light you know won’t last much longer. I dusted off the racer, untouched since before Thailand, and rolled out with a smile.
The first few pedals felt stiff, almost foreign, but soon my legs remembered. The road stretched out, my playlist in the background, and it was just me, the bike, and the rhythm. No deadlines, no stress – only speed, air, and that golden glow of the sinking sun.
I didn’t ride for numbers, not for distance or time. I rode because it felt good, because I’d missed it, because sometimes all you need is a stretch of road and the sound of your own breath to feel alive again.
1:40 min and about 40 km ride, burned 1300 kcal
