What is Ozempic?
Ozempic is a prescription medication containing semaglutide, mainly used to treat type 2 diabetes and, more recently, prescribed for weight management in some patients. It belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists, which mimic a natural hormone that regulates blood sugar and appetite.

- Reduces appetite – can lead to reduced calorie intake.
- Weight loss – many users experience moderate weight loss over time.
- Slows stomach emptying – helps with satiety, reducing hunger.

Common Side Effects

Less Common / Serious Side Effects
- Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) – rare but serious.
- Gallbladder issues (gallstones, inflammation)
- Possible kidney problems in some cases.
- Rare allergic reactions.
Important Notes:
